Allahabad Bank Recruitment 2015 – Specialist Officer Posts

Allahabad Bank (AB) launched a recruitment notification for On-line Applications for recruitment in the jobs of 12(SO) Specialist Officers [10 Manager IT in MMG Scale-II & 02 Senior Manager (Credit) in MMG Scale-III] through Special Drive for filling up of backlog jobs fixed for SC/ST/OBC

Age Limit: Candidates maximum age limit is 40 years for ST & 38 years for OBC candidates for S.No- 1 and 45 years for SC & 43 years for OBC for S.No-2 as on 31st March 2015. Age relaxation is applicable as per GOI rules

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicants intending to apply should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria specified herein before applying; it should be noted that the eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for applying for the posts
However, merely applying for / appearing for and /or qualifying at any stage of selection process for the posts does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be eligible for employment/confer right on him/her for appointment in the Bank. No request for considering the candidature under any category other than in which applied will be entertained

a) Nationality /Citizenship : A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India, or (ii) a subject of Nepal, or (iii) subject of Bhutan, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st Jan.-1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, OR (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt of India

Educational Qualifications:

1) Manager (IT): Candidates should possess 4 year Engg Degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology/Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunications/Electronics & Communication/Electronics and Instrumentation (or)

Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/Computer Sci./Information Technology/Computer Applications (or)
Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level

Minimum Work Experience (Post qualification): 2 years in IT field in a Scheduled Commercial Bank

2) Senior Manager (Credit): Candidates should possess CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance)/MMS (Finance)/ MFC (Finance) from a recognized University/Institution with recognition from AICTE with basic knowledge of computer operation. Preference will be given to those candidates who have passed both parts of CAIIB

Minimum Work Experience (Post qualification): Minimum 3(three) years’ experience in Officer Cadre in area of Finance out of which minimum 2 (two) years’ experience in the area of Credit Appraisal of big/medium industrial projects in any Scheduled Commercial Bank

Note: The cut-off date for ascertaining eligibility regarding age, educational qualification and work experience is 31st March 2015

Selection Procedure:

All eligible candidates should apply On-line within the last date for registering the applications. Eligible candidates will be considered for selection process as under:
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Online test/Group Discussion and Interview

Interview:

Depending upon the number of vacancies only a certain number of candidates from among those who qualify by ranking sufficiently high in merit on the basis of aggregate marks in the online test or Group Discussion (if applicable) will be called for the interview. The candidate has to secure minimum passing marks in the interview

Test Centres:

Post Code (01 & 02): 02nd August 2015 (tentative); the online tests will be held at the following Centres: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow & New Delhi

Salary Scale:

a) Manager IT – MMG Scale II Pay Scale 19,400- 700/ 1-20,100 -800/ 10 – 28,100/-

b) Senior Manager (Credit) – MMG Scale II Pay Scale 25700-800/5-29700-900/2-31500

Application Fee: Unreserved Applicants will have to pay Rs.600/- and SC/ST/ PWD applicants will have to pay Rs.100/-

Steps for Application: All Deserving and qualified applicants can  submit their application via online method through the departmental web portal http://www.allahabadbank.in before the ending date of application which is 09th July 2015

Application Procedure:

Candidates to go to the Recruitment Link on the Bank’s website www.allahabadbank.in and click on Special Drive for Recruitment of Specialist Officers (Backlog Recruitment Project-2014-15) and then click on the option Apply Online which will direct you to online application form

To register application choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and Email-ID. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the Screen; candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password; an Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent
In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he/she can save the data already entered by choosing “Save and Next” button prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the save and next facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required

Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify/ get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission

Payment of Fees (online mode only)

1. The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions
2. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen
3. After submitting your payment information in the online application form, please wait for the intimation from the server; do not press back or refresh button in order to avoid double charge
4. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated
5. Non-generation of “E-Receipt” indicates Payment Failure; on failure of payment, Candidates are advised to login again using their Provisional Registration Number and Password and repeat the process of payment
6. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form. Please note that if the same cannot be generated online transaction may not have been successful
